We're providing an experience you won't find anywhere else in the Maritimes.
Your Lilypod adventure begins at our shoreline parking area. After checking in, you'll load your gear into a provided canoe (life jackets supplied for all ages) and paddle 100-150 feet across calm, shallow water (5-8 feet deep) to your floating cottage. Once there, simply clip your canoe to the pod, it stays with you for the duration of your visit.
Inside, you'll find a thoughtfully designed space split across two levels. The main floor features a cozy bedroom on one side, with a bathroom, compact kitchenette, and dinette area on the other. Your private deck includes a propane BBQ for outdoor cooking. Climb the ladder to discover the upper level's spacious net hammock, perfect for stargazing or afternoon naps (maximum 2 people for safety).
Each room has USB charging ports that need to be manually switched on. Solar power provides electricity for lights and charging, just remember to conserve energy like you would at any off-grid cottage. Fresh water is provided for washing; bring drinking water or use our filtration system.
When you leave, please wear your life jackets for the paddle back, and return the canoe to its original location on shore. Take all belongings and any trash with you, leave only ripples behind.
You are invited to live differently, even if just for a night or two.
You're not staying beside the water, you're living on it. Feel the gentle sway beneath you as you sleep, wake to water lapping against your pod, and step directly from your deck into crystal-clear Maquapit Lake. It's camping elevated to an art form.
Be a pioneer. Lilypods brings floating cottage accommodations to the Maritimes for the first time. You'll have stories your friends have never heard and photos they've never seen.
Enjoy modern amenities powered by the sun. Our solar panels provide all the electricity you need, while composting toilets keep the lake pristine. You get comfort without compromise—luxury with a light footprint.
Romantic couples find intimacy in the isolation. Families create unforgettable adventures. Solo travelers discover peace. Groups of friends reconnect away from daily distractions. However you travel, the water welcomes you.
A queen-size bed with a premium mattress ensures a restful night. For additional sleeping space, the dinette easily folds down into a small bed with storage tucked neatly underneath. Large windows frame water views from every angle, so you can wake to the sunrise over the lake or fall asleep counting stars reflected in the water.
Open-concept design maximizes the feeling of space while maintaining coziness. Comfortable seating area perfect for reading, games, or simply watching the world float by. Storage space for all your gear.
Compact but complete kitchenette with propane stove, cookware, dishes, and utensils. Large cooler for food storage (bring plenty of ice). Perfect for preparing simple meals, morning coffee, packed lunches, or evening dinners on your deck.
Modern composting toilet (surprisingly odor-free and easy to use; full instructions provided). Hand-washing station with filtered lake water. Biodegradable soap and paper products included.
